Tone on tone sequins and glitter embellish this mixed media painting on wood panel of mother and child. This piece dates from when I had two young children (and all their little friends) running around underfoot. I had to fit my artwork in between the cracks of time that a busy family life allowed.

One really has to get their lives organized to be able to have the discipline to tick away at their artwork and not be distracted by the domestic hiss around them. Keep ticking away... and eventually pieces get finished one at a time.

I loved that stage but I am glad that it is past me now and I am able to be back in the studio and run my time for myself... at least most of the time. I am very fortunate to have a fabulous loving and supportive husband who even loves to cook!
